Will the Tooth Fairy Come See Me?

September 29, 2008 · 4 comments

Here’s a strange, random fact about me.

I had two baby teeth that never fell out.

My dentist pulled one when I was in the eighth grade, but he left the other one. He said it would fall out eventually.

Well, it did last night.

So, I guess I’m all grown up now.

When I was a kid I got 25 cents for each tooth from my mom the tooth fairy. I adjusted that for inflation, and it looks like a tooth should go for about 56 cents these days.

Man, you can’t even buy a pack of gum with that.

That is so strange. I never knew a baby tooth would stay in that long.

Yes, kids do get way more than we did per tooth.

Our kids’ teeth are worth one golden dollar, though people at work talk about the tooth fairy bringing as much as $5 a tooth (which is CRAZY, INHO).

That is indeed weird. Since you are an adult now…it should be at least $25!
