Giveaway

I recently tried out new Tide Plus Febreeze Freshness Sport laundry detergent.

According the the manufacture Proctor and Gamble, Tide Plus Febreeze Freshness Sport is designed to take out tough stains and odors. Thanks to special “freshness” technology clothes washed in the the detergent also continue to release a fresh scent each time you move.

Tide Plus Febreeze Freshness Sport is really designed for workout and athletic clothing. Since my boys are just five and one we don’t have a lot of smelly gym clothes yet. What I do have are food stained clothes which can be just as bad as grass stained baseball pants. I also have a lot of musty towels, since they’re always ending up in a wet pile on the bathroom floor.

First I washed a load of smelly towels in the Tide Plus Febreeze Freshness Sport. These were towels I washed once already with my regular laundry soap. They even went through the dryer with fabric softener, and they still smelled musty. But after being washed with the Tide Plus Febreeze Freshness Sport, they came out of the dryer smelling great.

I also washed a load of my one-year-old’s clothes with the Tide Plus Febreeze Freshness Sport. Wade is the messiest eater I’ve ever seen. Even with a bib he still manages to get his dinner all over himself. The detergent did take out all of the food stains.

I was happy with the performance of Tide Plus Febreeze Freshness Sport. For me the only drawback is that it’s not hypoallergenic. I can’t use it to wash my own clothes, because of an allergy I have to most soaps and detergents.

Mirra is a new line of Beauty products that combines natural ingredients with proven scientific technologies.

Just launched, the Mirra product line includes shampoos, conditioners, hair styling products, body washes and mists, facial and skin care lotions, cleansers and cleansing cloths, eye firming and age defying creams, and cosmetic brushes.

The natural ingredients in Mirra products include olive oil, aloe leaf juice, cranberry, bamboo, honey and chicory root extracts.

Mirra products are exclusively available in the beauty care aisle of stores that are part of the Kroger family.

I was sent a selection of Mirra products to try out for two weeks. I received shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hair gel and body wash to test.

The first thing I noticed was the scent. I like the way all the products smell. They have a pleasant scent that isn’t overpowering. I don’t like products that are too perfumey.

The other thing I like about Mirra is that the products are made with natural ingredients. I am allergic to chemicals in most standard beauty care products. I did use the products for two weeks, and didn’t haven any reaction to them.

The over-all performance of the products was great. The hair products left my hair soft and manageable. The body wash and lotions moisturized my dry winter skin.

Mirra Coupon

You can download a coupon for $5 off when you purchase any two Mirra products.

To introduce their new Dry Max technology, Pampers is giving away a coupon good for a free 1 week supply of their all new Cruisers with Dry Max diapers and a Liz Lange Diaper Clutch to one lucky MommieDaze reader.

Pamper’s says the Dry Max technology is their biggest innovation in 25 years. Dry Max diapers have a thinner core that gives baby more freedom to move around, but can still lock in wetness for up to 12 hours.

Pampers sent me a package of the new Cruisers diapers with Dry Max to try out with Wade. I definitely noticed that the diaper was less bulky. The fit was good, and most importantly there were no leaks. The diapers still have Pamper’s soft cloth-like feel, and baby fresh sent.

Cover Your Hair.com offers all kinds of hair coverings, hair accessories, and even some really cute hats.

If you cover your hair for modesty Cover Your Hair.com has a variety of options for you including Pre-Tied Bandannas, Israeli Tichels, Snoods and Turbans.

Even if you just want to make a style statement they have something for you. You’ll find a variety of headbands to choose from, as well as hair clips, pony holders and even hats.

I love these winter hats on their site. Winter’s winding down, but I just may need to order one for next year.

Cover My Hair.com sent me these two headbands to review.

I really like the wide headband with the elastic strap that’s hidden under your hair. Can you see in the photo that the strap is adjustable? One of the reasons I don’t wear headbands very often is because it seems like they don’t fit right. They’re either too tight or too loose. Not with the adjustable strap. I was able to get it stay on, and still be comfortable. The thinner headband with the flower on it isn’t really my style. But it was comfortable also when I tried it on.

Cover My Hair.com is giving away a headband of choice to one lucky Mommie Daze reader. To enter visit Cover Your Hair.com, then come back and leave a comment with your favorite product from their site. You must complete this step to enter.

Well, if you have pre-schoolers in the house I’m willing to bet that you’ve heard of the Wiggles, watched The Wiggles on TV and maybe even know some of their songs and dances by heart.

I remember David was about two when I first introduced him to the Wiggles. It wasn’t long before he was walking around the house singing Rock-A-Bye the Bear and Hot Potatoes. He watched the show first thing in the morning, and then wound down for his afternoon nap watching The Wiggles.

Now that David is five he doesn’t watch The Wiggles regularly anymore, but every once in awhile he still tunes in. And I’m sure it won’t be long before the baby gets to know Anthony, Murry, Jeff and Sam.

Last spring The Wiggles launched WiggleTime.com. A virtual world that allows children to interact on the internet in a safe environment, and spend time with their Wiggley friends.

David and I recently went online together, and checked it out. Even though he doesn’t watch the show that often anymore he was excited to see all the familiar characters.

The games allow you to interact with the TV characters as well as visit places like Captain Feathersword’s Ship and Wag’s Dog House. There are also videos to watch, and activity sheets that you can print.

When a child completes a game, they are rewarded with a toy that goes into a virtual toy box in their “house” on WiggleTime.com. They can then visit their house, open the toy box and “play” with the toys. David thought that was really neat.

Over-all David had a fun time on WiggleTime.com, and after our first visit has asked several times to go back. I thought the games were age appropriate, and the site is easy to navigate. Children who can’t read will need some help from parents, but I think the educational aspect is enhanced anyway when you participate with your child.

There are a few things as a parent I really like about WiggleTime.com. First of all the games are not just entertaining, but also educational. They teach everything from thinking skills to social skills. I also like that the site sends monthly reports to parents letting them know how their children are progressing on the site. But my favorite feature is that after 20 minutes of play a window pops up reminding you to take a break. It’s so easy for kids to get sucked into online games, and not realize how long they’ve been on the computer.

The only drawback that I came across when we visted WiggleTime.com was that at times some of the pages were slow to load. David did get a little impatient waiting.

WiggleTime.com is free to everyone to use. But a premium membership subscription is available. The subscription gives you access to more games, new videos and exlusive offers for just $5.95 a month, or only $60 if you purchase an entire year at once. You can also purchase a special UNICEF subscription that donates a portion of your subscription cost to UNICEF, and helps teach your children about giving.

The Giveaway

It’s the end of January, and I know cabin-fever is probably starting to set in. This would be a great time to try out WiggleTime.com, and keep those little ones occupied when you can’t go outside. WiggleTime.com is offering a free one month subscription to three MommieDaze readers. To enter visit WiggleTime.com then come back here, and tell me what you think your little ones will like best about WiggleTime.com.

Winners will be chosen by random draw, and notified by email. The contest runs until 11:59 p.m. Feb. 5th.
