Mommie Daze was down most of they day yesterday, because my web host was having problems with their servers. Looks like it’s all fixed now.

A little update on the sewing project…

I did manage to get the rest of the pieces cut out, but that’s as far as I got. We aren’t having a hurricane here, but it’s been raining for 24 hours, and there’s no end in sight. We’re looking at rain well into the night. So I had a wound up three-year-old to entertain yesterday, and didn’t get much done.

Dogs and little boys must be exercised outside daily.

If I can’t take David outside to blow off some steam, he starts climbing the walls.

Let me tell you, it’s a real pain to get him down from the ceiling.

Well, we’ll be stuck inside all day again today, but dad’s home since it’s Saturday. Maybe I’ll get a chance to break out the sewing machine.

Help! Help! Help! Clueless in Self-Hosted Blog World

I’ve got a little housekeeping to do regarding my move to self-hosted WordPress, and if you all could help me out that would just be swell.

First of all, I haven’t got my blogroll all moved over yet, so if you were on there, and you’re not now, don’t be offended. I’m slowly getting everyone back on. If I do forget you, let me know and I’ll be more than happy to put you on. If you weren’t on, but want to get added, I would love to do a link exchange, as long as you’re not trafficking in anything illegal or offensive.

If you have linked to me on your site, and you’re still linked to my .wordpress URL, it would be most helpful and kind if you could change that on over to just mommiedaze.com.

Finally, for my handful of RSS subscribers, I’m still not sure how that all came out yet, so if you haven’t been getting updates, I need to fix it. In fact, if it’s not working, let me know. And hint, hint, if you’re not subscribed, do sign up. Oh, please do. If it works that is.

And now a plea.

I love Wordpress. I love this self-hosted WP with all its great plug-ins even more. Only problem is, for the life of me, I can not figure out how to use some of them. For some reason my Blog Stats aren’t working. I also can’t figure out how to use Add Sig. What code exactly am I supposed to put in there? And this DoFolow, NoFollow, what’s up with that? Shoud it be on or off? If any of ya’ all can give me some info or advice, please share.

Some Random Thoughts and a Few Questions

I’m tired of it raining almost every single day this summer. Global warming, climate change, El Nino, La Nina — whatever it is please just move the jet stream. 3 1/2 year old boys need to be exercised outside daily. I’m going crazy here!

I’m wondering what our neighbors are suspiciously burning in a barrel in their backyard every morning. Life in the country ain’t what it use to be.

Is it strange that two of my son’s favorite TV shows, Wordgirl and The Mighty B, have girls as the main characters? And why do most of the kid’s shows with main characters that are male make the boys out to be bumbling fools who only get things right by chance?

Am I the only one who thinks Oprah has gone completely off her rocker lately?

Why is it so hard for a 3 1/2 year old boy to poop in the potty?

Fireflies are a beautiful miracle of nature. I’ve seen them every summer for 33 years, and am still as delighted by them now as I was as a young child. How creative is God to come up with a creature like that? Would you in a million years have believed a bug could have a light bulb in it’s bum if you hadn’t seen it first? Hey Bobbie, do they have Fireflies in Australia?

My son just informed me that his ears are growing. I may need to investigate this.

What did SAHM’s do all day before blogging?

Oh, yeah. HOUSEWORK!
