So Tired

I know you’re supposed to be tired during you first trimester, but I do not remember being this tired when I was pregnant with David.

I’ve have all these things in my head I want to be doing right now, but completely lack the energy to do them. So, I just lay on the couch. David has a cold, and for once I’m glad, because he’s just laying on the couch with me.

Maybe I’m more tired because I’m almost four years older. Maybe I’m so tired because I have a three-year-old to chase around this time.

I’m so exhausted I don’t even want to feed the cravings I’ve been having for pasta and Twinkies. The pasta I have to cook, and the Twinkies I have to drive to the store for. I settled for apples and peanut butter.

It’s not the same as a big plate of spaghetti with meatballs.

OH, MAN I WANT THAT!

Why doesn’t Olive Garden deliver?

On top of being tired I’ve had a headache above my left eye for the last three days that won’t go away. That I do remember from the last time.

But despite the headache and the weariness, I have something to rejoice about. I was miserable with morning ALL DAY sickness last time. So far I haven’t had any.

Oh, I  really remember that!

I would get up and be sick. Go to work, eat lunch, then be sick. Come home, eat dinner and be sick. Then do it all over every day for weeks. I am so thankful I haven’t been nauseous this time around.

O.K. Enough whining.

I’m gonna go tap a nap now, and dream about baked ziti.

Oh I remember that! I too was so tired that I would just fall to sleep… even standing. If I lived anywhere close to you I would make you pasta and bring it over.

It’s okay to whine. I’m sorry you’re so wiped out. I completely understand. There are 10 years between my kids. Boy, it’s a lot harder this time.

Hopefully your energy level will pick up next trimester!

Congratulations on the new baby! WOW! That’s awesome. Now you’ve got me thinking about Baked Ziti. Last night I thought about oatmeal, raisin cookies and got up and made them at 8:00 at night. That’s not like me since I try to eat healthy. So I threw in some flax seed and unsalted pistachios and pretended they were good for me. Then I proceeded to eat 5 yesterday, and I think today the number will be 8. Now they are gone and I can pretend like it never happened. Wonder if I have any ziti in the cabinet. See what happens when you mention food. Whatever you do, don’t eat the twinkies. They are synthetic. Congratulations again.

Oh, I remember being that tired during my first trimester, and complaining to my husband about how there should totally be a chocolate delivery service, and why wasn’t there? In the next town over there’s a fresh baked cookie delivery service, but they won’t deliver out our way. If only!

A cookie delivery service? That would be very cool, and dangerous.

Congratulations on the new baby! I remember the fatigue the most. I was the only crazy person constantly saying “I can’t wait until I have this baby so I can get some sleep.” and people would ask, “Don’t you have that backward?” Nope. Sleeplessness was the worst symptom of pregnancy for me, from the getgo. It’s how I knew I was pregnant each time after the first. lol. Just fitful, restless sleep. I also remember lying on the floor with my toddler with my head resting on my elbow flat out just fighting to stay awake long enough to reach his naptime or bedtime, which I was jumpin’ in on too. lol. If I sat down, out I went.

P.S. Can you help me figure out how to follow your blog? I know how to add myself to some that offer that feature, but being so new at this, I haven’t figured out others. Thx in advance!
