When you hear the name FedEx Office you probably associate it with the business world, but their new blog Out of Office is chock-full of creative project ideas for everyone, including mom.
You’ll find ideas for party planning, gift giving, even home organization on the Out of Office Blog.
One post offers suggestions for re-purposing your kid’s artwork. Any mom knows that artwork from school and rainy afternoons can pile up fast. You can’t bear to part with your little one’s precious creations, but what to do to keep them from cluttering up your home? I really like the idea offered up by Out of Office blogger Jenny Robertson to save up a year’s worth of artwork then let FedEx office help you laminate and bind it into a book. The artwork will be preserved, organized and a keepsake to cherish for years to come.
There are several ideas on the blog for making and giving gifts that come from the heart. What grandparent wouldn’t love a calender that displays different pictures of their precious grandchildren each month? You can make one online at FedEx Office.
Or how about making a family cook book with everyone’s favorite recipes?I did this years ago for my mom’s side of the family. I printed and bound them all at home by myself. It took me forever. I would have loved to have the help of FedEx Office.
Throwing a party? Out of Office suggests designing your own place cards, invitations and any other stationary you may need for your event. There are links to templates for postcards, envelopes, note cards, letterhead and more available to make designing your project simple. When you’re ready, let FedEx Office do the printing for you.
I’ve been working to teach my four year old his alphabet and numbers. I’ve made some different charts and activities in the process. This ice cream cone was a big hit with him.

Every time we learned a new number we added another scoop to the cone. But just made from construction paper, it ripped and fell apart eventually. I think I’ll make a new ice cream cone number chart, and have FedEx laminate the individual pieces. Then I’ll attach some magnets to the back so that David can practice arranging the numbers in the right order on our fridge.
Check out the Out of Office blog and see what ideas it inspires for you!
