Every day average moms do extraordinary things for their families, friends and communities. From making dinner every night to raising money for the PTA, moms are sacrificing and giving their time to make a difference in both big and small ways.

Dollar General and Proctor and Gamble are teaming up to recognize those moms as the Everyday Heros they are. To help celebrate mom, they invite you to upload a video to their site describing why a mom you know is an Every Day Hero.

    I believe all moms are everyday heroes, we grew and gave life to a human being. We take care of them when they are sick, we kiss boo-boo’s we teach them to be great people and we can go without sleep for a # of days. Even when we are sick we still manage strength to get out of bed and take care of our families.

  5. My own mother is my everyday hero! She had to work FT plus take care of kids, the house, and everything else that comes with life. She taught us to keep going, no matter what and believe in a good future for yourself. As an adult I can really appreciate those lessons now.

    My mom was when we were growing up. She raised 4 kids, her sister, and a foster daughter. Along with this, she helped my dad in the family business until we got old enough to help and was busy with school and church activities.

    My sister has a 16 year old, 2 year old twins and a newborn. I don’t know how she keeps her sanity, but she is a very patient person and deals with a back talking teenager, the terrible 2s x 2 and colic every day.

    My niece is an everyday hero. She works full time (is the major breadwinner) and has managed to buy her first home for her family. She also manages to make it to all her kids activities and put them first.

  15. Being a mom, working full time, getting the kids to school, making sure they do there homework, get there physical therapy, get a healthy meal and good nights sleep every day, keeping a clean environment for them while maintaining a home and making time to take them out for fun

    A friend of mine is raising her two sons who are 7 and 9 by herself since her husband passed away 2 years ago. She is also homeschooling them. She’s terrific.

    My mother who in the last 3 years has had to deal with my being in the hospital for two weeks (ICU), herself being in and out for 6 months and my dad losing his leg and my aunt just passed away. She has had bad days and she still doesn’t get down she looks ahead

    My mom is an everyday hero because while she is on a very fixed income, she helps everyone she has – including enlisting the aid of all of her friends as needed. And everyone does these things willingly because she puts so much of herself out there too.

  48. My best friend. Her husband had to leave the state to take a job while she was pregnant. She had to go through the pregnancy all by herself while also taking care of her 3 other kids. While her husband was able to come home for the birth, she again was alone for 6 more months raising 4 kids before she was able to sell the house and move to be with her husband. It was a hard time, but she was able to do it.

    I know lots of moms that would be every day heros! They take care of the kids, activities, the house and work. All of this even when sick because everyone knows moms dont’t/can’t get sick. ;)

    I know a mom whose fiancee was murdered .he had supported her and her 2 children(from a previous abusive relationship).She overcame and now has great career and one child in collage and the other graduating with full scholarships and a 4.0 gpa.

    i lost my mom and so did my husband but i know a great mom and that would be my daughter-in-law she does such a great job with the grandchildren. loving,caring ,listening, teaching you name it we’re very proud and lucky to have her

    My mom is my everyday hero. Raised 3 kids on her own. My 1 brother is severely disabled. She has never gave up in life. As of last weekend at the age of 53 she graduated top of her class with her masters in teaching. Such a role model

All moms are everyday heroes..especially the ones who get up every morning to make sure the family is fed when they’d really like to get a few more minutes of sleep or the ones who stay up later to read just one more story when they know they have dishes to do and they really would like to go to bed themselves.

    My mother-in-law is an Everyday Hero; after my husband’s first wife passed away (at a young age) he was left with raising 2-year old twin boys alone. His Mom (my mother-in-law) stepped in and raised her grandchildren as her own. The boys are now 21 years, and she has yet to stop “giving & providing” for them, as well as for welcome me & my children into her family with no prejudice.

    I think most moms are heros,whether you work a full time job or stay at home mom. Being a mom is a hard job,when everyone elses day is over a moms job never ends,even when laying in bed,things are still running thru your mind of what you need to do or plans for the next day.

    My grandma is an everyday hero! She raised her 10 children while struggling with money. And to this day, she’s still working hard helping everyone that she loves. She opens her home up for any family members that need a place to stay. She’s a really awesome woman. And she’s 82!

    The husband of the family had a mental breakdown, and was no longer able to work, so the mother had to go back to work, after being a stay at home Mom with her six children, and become the primary provider.
